  • Can I come to your customer service center during the lunch break?down_arrow

    Customer Service Centre and the hotline service will be temporarily suspended during the lunch break, i.e.12:45p.m. to 1:45p.m.
  • What should I do if I want to change my Correspondence Address?down_arrow

    In order to update your correspondence address, please fax or email your address proof issued within 3 months together with your agreement no. or vehicle registration mark for our handling.

  • How can I request a photocopy of VRD/ Agreement/ Payment Schedule/ Payment Receipt/ Insurance Policy? How much?down_arrow

Vehicle Licence & Insurance

  • Can I renew my vehicle licence from Transport Department on my own?down_arrow

    Yes! Vehicle registered owner who has already signed up for the account of “iAM Smart+” with digital signing function, may apply online licence renewal via “GovHK”. For details, please refer to the information and to do list from GovHK website.
    For those who cannot apply self-online licence renewal, please prepare all necessary documents and submit to our Licence Section by post . We shall bring all along with the Original Vehicle Registration Document (“VRD”) to Transport Department for the renewal process.
  • What should I do if my vehicle licence is going to expire but still have not received anything from you?down_arrow

    Changed your correspondence address recently? If “YES”, please click here to let us know. If “NO”, please click here to download the Transport Department application form (TD558) and click here to download the vehicle licence renewal reminder.

    To submit your application, please complete, sign (and with company chop for corporate customer) and return all Transport Department required documents to our Licence Section by post (except for the registered vehicle owner who needs to sign Vehicle Registration Document at our office). Please expect 7 working days for the renewal process.

    (1) The VRD has to contain signature of the registered vehicle owner, and the signature on the application forms should match with that on the VRD when a relevant licensing application is submitted by the registered vehicle owner concerned. If the vehicle is owned by a company/organization, the VRD has to contain the signature of an authorized representative together with a company/organization chop and the copy on the application form must be identical with that on the VRD, otherwise Transport Department will not process the licensing application.
    (2) Licence renewal at counter services are only accepted to make prior appointment through booking.mitsubishi-hc-capital.com.hk
    (3) We only accept licence fee payment by cheque or cashier order payable to <The Government of HKSAR>, CASH IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.

  • What should I do if I want to apply for retention/ transfer/ assignment of my vehicle registration mark?down_arrow

    You can click here to download the Transport Department application form (TD129) and (TD148).

    To submit your application, please complete, sign (and with company chop for corporate customer) and return along with the original vehicle licence and address proof (plus all Transport Department required documents for assigning application use) to our Licence Section by post. Please expect 7 working days for the renewal process.

    Form TD129 is applicable for retention of registration mark and you may choose to have your vehicle re-registered with a new registration mark randomly assigned by this Department, or a registration mark retained or auctioned by you. If you would like to assign a retained/auctioned mark to your vehicle and surrender the mark currently on the vehicle, please complete TD148. Your particular attention is drawn that the original mark on the vehicle would be cancelled and if you would like to retain this mark, please use TD129. You should read carefully information on the forms before submission, so as to confirm your application details;

Loan Settlement

  • What should I do if I want to settle the loan? What is the procedure and what should I prepare?down_arrow

    In order to settle the loan and retrieve all vehicle documents instantly, the registered owner may visit our office during service hours in person along with personal identity document (company chop is required for corporate customer) and the cashier order. An original authorization letter with registered owner’s signature (and with company chop for corporate customer) plus the cashier order should be prepared to the representative to handle the settlement before visiting our office.  

    Attention! Signature on the authorization letter should match with the specimen signature on our agreement.
  • Do I need to make appointment if I wish to settle my loan? How long would it take?down_arrow

    Loan settlement at counter services are only accepted to make prior appointment through
    booking.mitsubishi-hc-capital.com.hk
    On the Appointment Day, customer only need to grab a ticket at our customer service center and
    wait to be served. Under normal situation, all process should be completed within 30 to 60 minutes.
  • Apart from a cashier order, can I settle the loan by cash or cheque at your counter and collect all vehicle documents right away?down_arrow

    We cannot accept cash but can accept cheque. However, please be aware that the original vehicle registration document CANNOT be collected on the same day from the counter as the cheque will need at least 3 working days to be cleared.

     
  • What should I do if I want to know the remaining balance and breakdown of my loan?down_arrow

    In order to protect the individual's right to privacy with respect to personal data and due to the settlement interest may vary by time, we highly recommend the registered owner to call our customer service team at 2398 4512 for identity verification and the latest quotation.

    For normal early settlement, except the prescribed remaining principal and interest, the breakdown shall have all other expenses set out on the signed agreement, including but not limited to the Option Fee and Early Settlement Penalty, etc. For settlement case with overdue record, all late charges and expenses incurred (if any) shall be repaid upon settlement. 
  • I have fully repaid all outstanding installments already, what is the next step to get back my vehicle registration document?down_arrow

    Under the Agreement, you have the option to purchase the financed vehicle from us by paying the Option Fee. (Accumulated late charges and handling fees, if any are required to be paid together)

    Please come to our office or authorize a 3rd party with signed authorization letter (signature with Company chop are required for Corporate customer) to pay the option fee/transfer fee and collect the Original Vehicle Registration Document. If you wish to receive by mail, please pay an additional $20 for the registered postage fee.

  • What is Option Fee? I have never heard of it, why do I need to pay?down_arrow

    No matter normal settlement or early termination, the Option fee itself is the fee that legally transfers ownership from the finance company to the customer. Once the option fee is paid, the legal title of the vehicle will pass from the finance company to the customer. It is customary in the hire purchase business to offer such option to the Hirer to purchase the vehicle with the Option fee, but until such payment the vehicle shall remain the sole property of the finance company.

    It has been explicitly listed and set out both on the Hire Purchase/ Lease agreements (Clause 12 of the T&C) and the General Service Charges leaflet for customer’s reference.
  • How should I write an authorization letter for loan settlement?down_arrow

Repayment

  • How should I make the cheque/ cashier order payable to?down_arrow

    Please make the cheque/ cashier order payable to “Mitsubishi HC Capital (Hong Kong) Limited”.
     
  • How should I apply to change the payment method? Is there any handling fee for this?down_arrow

    The handling fee is HKD 200 per change.

  • How should I apply to change the autopay bank account?down_arrow

Tender

  • How can I submit the Tender Form to you?down_arrow

  • May I receive confirmation that you have received the Tender Form?down_arrow

    Due to confidentiality reasons, we will not provide confirmation of receipt for fax or email submissions to any parties.
  • When will I receive notification that my Tender Form has been accepted?down_arrow

    We will only notify the successful tenderer regarding the acceptance of their tender. If you have not received any notice from us within 5 working days after the Tender Closing Time, you can assume that your tender was not successful.
  • May I know the condition of the vehicles?down_arrow

    All information regarding the vehicles is provided in the Tender Open Day Notice and Tender Form. You may also visit the designated car park to inspect the vehicle(s) you are interested in.
  • Where and When can I inspect the vehicle?down_arrow

    The vehicle may be subject to inspection at the designated location(s) as stated in the Tender Open Day Notice and Tender Form. Inspections can take place on the specified date and time indicated on the Tender Open Day Notice and Tender Form, or by prior appointment if no specific date and time are provided.
  • Am I liable for the fixed penalty on the vehicle?down_arrow

    The successful tenderer is responsible for paying the outstanding fixed penalty to the Transport Department before the vehicle's ownership transfer can take place. Once the vehicle has been successfully transferred, we will reimburse the full amount of the fixed penalty to the successful tenderer via cheque.
